VISAS & PASSPORT FOR TRAVEL TO THE UAE

General Information

All Indians with Indian passports valid for more than six months can enter the UAE.

Visa on Diplomatic and Official Passports

The Embassy issues visas on Diplomatic and Official Passports only. The documents required for this are:

1.	A Note Verbale from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (in case of Indian Government Officials) or from the concerned Diplomatic Mission (in case of Diplomats or Officials working in a Diplomatic Mission).
2.	A duly filled in Application Form (which can be downloaded from the Embassy website), signed by the applicant.
3.	Two passport size photographs (one photograph pasted on the form and second photograph clipped with the form).
4.	Photocopy of the Passport.

These documents can be submitted in the Embassy from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, Monday to Friday. The Embassy of UAE takes 3 to 4 working days to process the Visa.

Tourist Visa for Travel to the UAE

Tourist visa for an Indian National, holding an ordinary passport, is arranged by a sponsor in UAE. It can also be obtained on booking a hotel in UAE or through the Emirates Airlines Office or the Air Arabia Office or through a Travel Agent in India.

Procedure for the Loss of Passport, containing a valid UAE Residence visa:

In case of the loss of an Indian passport containing a valid UAE Residence visa, the following documents need to be submitted at the Embassy Counter:

	A duly filled Loss of Passport form, with the applicant's contact number
	Old and new passport's copy
	UAE Residence Visa's copy
	A letter from the sponsor in UAE, stating that the applicant left UAE with his permission
	ARABIC TRANSLATION of the Police report of the lost passport, attested by the Indian External Affairs Ministry.
	One photograph
	Cash fee of Rs. 4000/-

Once these documents are submitted at the UAE Embassy Counter, the applicant will be informed when the entry permit is ready.

Cancellation of Visa

In order to get your visa cancelled, you need to contact your sponsor in UAE who had arranged the visa for you. Your sponsor has the sole authority to cancel your previous visa. Without getting the previous visa cancelled, you cannot get a new UAE visa and you cannot travel to UAE.
