Cares attended the 47th Annual Conference of the
National Progressive School Conference

Executive Summary:
Association of senior secondary schools across the country, having 177 leading private schools under its umbrella. Hosted the 47th Annual Conference of the National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC) at the Indian International Centre, New Delhi, India.

H.E. Dr. Tariq AlGurg, CEO of Dubai Cares participated as the chief guest along with H.E. Dr. Ahmed AlBanna, UAE Ambassador to India as the Guest of Honor, among the seniors on the dais were Mr. Rajiv Chandran, Officer-in-Charge, UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan, Mr. Vinod Jain, Director General (IAS), National Test Agency and a number of principals of Indian Private Schools, which included the current chairperson of the NPSC Ms. Mailini Narayan, Principal. Army Public School Shankar Vihar, Delhi.

Ms. Malini welcomed the gathering and facilitated the chief guest and the guest of honor along with the other dignitaries on the dais. The occasion also marked the launch of special calendar of UN in collaboration with the NPSC and two books (which are collection of SA written by the teachers for the betterment of education). She also informed the gathering about the contribution of Dubai Care for child education around the Globe.

H.E. Dr. Tariq AlGurg spoke in length about providing quality education to children around the globe and fight the inequality in terms of caste, religion, economic status, physical ability, gender, etc. a collaborative alliance needs to be formed between the government sector as well as the private sectors to fight against the discrimination. Involvement of the private sector in this regards is necessary as they dictate the future job market. For this new teaching methods are needed to be adopted, infrastructure needs to be improved and teachers are to be educated for imparting quality knowledge. Since its inception, Dubai Cares (part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives) the UAE-based global philanthropic organization has successfully launched education programs reaching over 20 million beneficiaries in 59 developing countries.
