OTM is India’s Biggest Travel Trade Show. It is organized every year in the largest travel market in India – Mumbai.

OTM is the most effective platform to market to the Indian Travel Industry. Widely recognized as India’s leading Travel Trade Show, OTM is a meeting place of the largest ever number of global sellers and buyers of tourism industry. OTM 2017 is held in Mumbai, the largest source market for leisure and MICE travel in the country, from 21–23 February, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of modern technology in the travel and tourism segment, with most of its business being conducted online and thus replacing the friendly travel agent, OTM also showcased the changing trends in the industry with sophisticated travel technology solutions for the agents and consumers alike.

More than a 1000 sellers from 50 countries were present to exhibit at the OTM 2017. These include National and State Tourism Organizations, Hotels, Airlines, Destination Marketing Companies and other suppliers serving leisure as well as MICE markets.

On Tuesday, 21st February 2017, H.E. Dr Ahmed Albanna along with UAE Consul General in Mumbai attended the inauguration of OTM 2017, they were also welcomed by Mr Abdullah Al Hammadi, Director of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and UAE Delegation at the UAE Pavillion.

“H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al-Banna appreciated the pavilion that included all UAE travel authorities and departments under one umbrella and one theme “Visit UAE”, which had great resonance in the exhibition. He also expressed his admiration for the diversity in the pavilion, and the methods of promoting tourism and the continuous growth in the UAE tourism industry.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is  big on India’s outbound tourism potential. Highly placed representatives of the UAE’s travel and tourism industry under the umbrella of National Council of Tourism and Antiquities (NCTA) discussed its India-specific tourism promotion plans during OTM 2017 in Mumbai.
Speaking about Visit UAE participation, Abdulla Al Hammadi, Director of the Tourism Department informed Excellency that the participation in the OTM Event last year showed great results and this time too We are getting lots of enquiries. Our co-participants are also getting very nice results. We are looking for more tourists from India to the United Arab Emirates.

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna said “Last year OTM 2016 offered a great opportunity for international exhibitors to showcase their travel and tourism capabilities at length and he is confident with an increase of tourist arrivals from India to UAE, is now expecting about good increase in its Indian tourist arrivals in the coming years.
