UAE AMBASSADOR DR. AHMED AL BANNA

New Delhi | April 20, 2017
The climate reality project and Paharpur Business Centre in partnership with Earth Day network invited along with American Embassy school invited Dr Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India to hold a tree plantation drive in their school campus area.

Dr. Ahmed Albanna was received warmly by the Director of School and his team. He was first taken to the place where the tree plant sampling has to be done and briefed him about the area and method of plantation. With the support of school, their students showed great enthusiasm in planting them along with the Ambassador.

The plantation drive stands apart with its focus on sustaining the plants; to ensure this a metal tree guard is provided for plants. At the same time, to foster a culture of responsibility towards Nature among students, in every school where the trees were planted, one student adopted one tree for conservation. They will take care of it during their stay in school and pass the responsibility to new students when they leave school.

Dr Ahmed Albanna expressed the hope that with sincere efforts and aim to provide clean and healthy environment, plantation needs to be carried out by all in the right earnest. He said, “For such drives to be successful, participation of citizens and their ownership in maintaining the trees are critical to ensure maximum survivability. Although there a number of plantation drives being carried out in schools these days, but they are not able to involve citizens to such an extent. My heartiest congratulations to the climate reality project and Paharpur Business Centre and American Embassy school for doing such a great job and best wishes for their future Endeavour’s.”
