We are in the company of some very exceptional people tonight. These are individuals who have shown immense dedication to serving society. Most of them may have served the cause away from the public eye so probably have not received the open commendation that they rightfully deserve. Yet we all know that they have done the best for the cause.
I applaud each of Sshrishti members for their dedication and commitment.
Today, we all are assembled here to celebrate Sshrishti 7th Annual Day Celebrations. Let me take this opportunity to put some light on Sshrishti’s remarkable social activities and works.
Sshrishti an NGO, working to provide primary level education to underprivileged children, especially to those of migrant labourers. These children will be given education with emphasis on English and Computer learning along with a meal and basic healthcare. Sshrishti operates Educational Centres for children living in the Delhi slums. In addition to their programs in Delhi, Sshrishti operates two rural computer learning centres in Rajasthan and Haryana.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the good work by the Ms. Sanghamitra Bose, and the entire Sshrishti team. An NGO is incomplete without competent staff and volunteers. Good people with the necessary skills and the right motivations needed to help the organization achieve its goals. It is delight to see such selfless devoted people who don’t look at monetary awards but serve humanity and create a better place for people.
I am told that Sshrishti has won the Best NGO award for Northern India in Small NGO category by the Resource Alliance and Rockefeller Foundation. The award is an acknowledgement of works and efforts by Sshrishti team for over almost 7 years.
I congratulate the entire Sshrishti team for winning this prestigious award.
THANK YOU |
